Performance
With its tough V-6 engine, the 4Runner Limited kicks out 270 horsepower and 279 lb.-ft. of torque. To improve on-road performance, a Torsen center differential is added to the the Limited 4×4 editions. The center console switch lets you choose from three modes. The standard torque split is 40:60, but it can be shifted to 30:70 if the front wheels are slipping. At its toughest, the 4Runner can pull up to 5,000 pounds. Skid plates help ward off damage when on the trail.

Curb Appeal

The dressier Limited wears overfenders and side rocker panels. The grille is inset with a handsome chrome.
