There’s a new crossover coming to town. Toyota is setting a new trend with what it calls a coupe high-rider. The 2017 Toyota C-HR is an urban-dwelling crossover with a sports car attitude toward life. You can find out more at McKinnon Toyota dealer serving Birmingham AL.

Sports Car Attitude
The engineers in charge of this project were instructed to make sure that drivability was part of the crossover’s DNA. As such, the vehicle is extra lightweight and has a low center of gravity. A large diameter stabilizer bar and SACHS dampers improve front suspension response. SACHs shock absorbers help out the rear suspension. A Preload differential sends torque from the left to right wheels as needed, creating a more composed driving capability during low-speed maneuvers. A Sport mode adds to the crossover’s quick reflexes.

Style
The crossover reflects a racecar bias with its clear, commanding view of the road and intuitive access to instrumentation. An angled dashboard creates a driver-centric cockpit. Even the touchscreen has been repositioned to create a smarter line of sight. As for style, a varied diamond pattern dresses the front black headliner, the climate controls, and the speaker surrounds. For a better backseat, there are footwell cubbies for more footroom, scalloped seatbacks for more kneeroom, and a chamfered headliner for more height. Schedule a test drive.

Safety
Like so many Toyotas today, the C-HR packs a forward collision warning, pedestrian watch, and pre-collision automatic braking. It also has full-speed cruise control and ten airbags. Learn about pricing.
