The 2019 Avalon is the mid-sized sedan offered by Toyota. A member of the fifth generation of Avalons this year’s model is designed to appeal to younger consumers. The exterior has been given a more high tech look while the interior has been designed for comfort.
2019 Toyota Avalon Technology
Today’s society has become more technology centered, and cars are following the trend by adding more technological features to their design. The Avalon has added features to help keep the technologically minded consumer connected to the world around them. The floating center stack of the Avalon features an Entune 3.0 system with a 9-inch multimedia touch-screen display. The pinch-and-zoom navigation controls of the Entune 3.0 system make it easy to use. This system provides connectivity for up to five devices using the Wi-Fi Connect Powered by Verizon hotspot that is integrated into the system. Apple CarPlay compatibility is offered as a standard feature on the Avalon. Available Toyota Remote Connect allows drivers to use their Apple Watch or Android smartwatch to control door locks, to start the engine or to find the car with a touch or voice command. The 7-inch Multi-Information Display can be customized to give drivers the information they feel is most important with a glance at their instrument cluster. For keeping devices charged and ready for use there are five USB 2.0 ports as well as Qi-compatible wireless smartphone charging.
2019 Toyota Avalon Toyota Safety Sense
As part of Toyota’s commitment to safety, the Avalon comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense P features. The Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection uses an in-vehicle camera and radar to help detect the presence of another vehicle or a pedestrian in front of the car. The system uses visual and audio alerts to help drivers avoid a potential collision. Lane Departure with Steering Assist activates at speeds that are 32 miles per hour or higher. On roads with visible lane markings, this feature is designed to help drivers stay within their lane of travel. The system uses audio and visual alerts to warn drivers when they unintentionally drift into another lane of travel. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is intended for use on the highway and allows drivers to maintain a preset speed. This system uses a radar mounted within the front grille as well as a camera in the car to help maintain a preset distance from vehicles ahead of the Avalon. Automatic High Beams are activated when the car reaches a speed that is above 25 miles per hour. The AHB system uses an in-vehicle camera to help determine when to toggle between low and high beams.
