2019 Toyota Tacoma Performance, Utility and Towing
The Tacoma offers an available Atkinson-cycle 3.liter V6 engine with direct injection to combine power with efficiency. The bed of the Tacoma is made of a fiber-reinforced Sheet-Molded Composite. The durable material helps to keep the bed of the Tacoma looking good. A built-in deck rail system equipped with four adjustable cleats allows cargo to be tied down securely. The available tow package combined with the 3.5 liter V6 gives the Tacoma the potential ability to tow up to 6800 pounds or to carry up to 1440 pounds in the bed. Load shifts or wind can cause trailers to sway when being towed. The available Trailer Sway Control feature that is included in the available Tow Package uses braking on individual wheels to manage torque thereby helping to keep the trailer under control.
2019 Toyota Tacoma Technology
Today’s consumers are more connected via technology than in previous years. Toyota recognizes the benefits of technology to their consumers. To keep personal devices ready to use the Tacoma has two USB ports as well as Qi-compatible wireless charging. To use the Qi-compatible charging, simply place your compatible device on the nonslip charging surface and let it charge. An available EnTune audio system allows consumers to access a variety of information and phone features through a seven inch touchscreen. The touchscreen also allows access to streaming capabilities and the available Integrated Navigation system. For comfort, the Tacoma offers a front dual zone automatic climate control system. The driver benefits from an available 4.2 inch color Multi-Information Display (MID). The display can be tailored to the driver’s preferred information settings. Another technological benefit for drivers is the backup camera. The camera is in the handle of the the tailgate and images it takes are displayed on the seven inch touchscreen of the audio system.
2019 Toyota Tacoma Safety
The Tacoma is equipped with safety features that help drivers maintain awareness on the road. The Blind Spot Monitor warns drivers of a vehicle travelling in the Tacoma’s blind spot. Rear Cross-Traffic Alert gives warning of vehicles approaching from behind when the Tacoma is in reverse. Each Tacoma is equipped with Toyota Safety Sense P. A Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection uses a camera and a radar to help avoid potential front end collisions with other vehicles or pedestrians. Brake Assist technology has the ability to apply the brakes if necessary to help prevent an accident. The Lane Departure Assist feature warns drivers when they start to drift from their lane of travel. Automatic High Beams and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control round out the Toyota Safety Sense P features on the Tacoma.
